I’m so glad our whole family was able to celebrate my mom’s birthday together. Her birthday is February 2nd and is always 2 weeks before mine. It was so cute to see the grandkids with their Lola, especially with them trying to blow out the candle
.

My mom really inspires me with her outlook on life. She has been blessed by our Lord with strength and joy and I admire her positivity even through her trials in life. I’m praying to have an attitude more like her and always remember my blessings. We both have issues with our vision & my mom has taught me to focus on what I can still see and to trust God completely with my health, knowing that He is always taking care of us.
The other night she mentioned to me that no one is born a saint. I’ve been thinking about what she said and have been meditating on it, remembering that everyone has struggles. God leaves it up to us to choose whether or not we want to grow from it and become a better person from them. We can choose to become more patient, compassionate, or whatever it may be that would help us grow.
What seems to help me most is when I focus on staying positive and reaching out to others. I’m truly blessed to have a mother who has taught me so many lessons throughout my life and continues to teach me how to live a good Catholic life through her daily example. She has done so much for our family and I know her love for us is unconditional and an extension of God’s love for us.
Lord God,
Thank you for always taking care of my mom. Please bless her so much more in return for all of the love she has given us throughout our whole lives. She is my hero and has a beautiful soul and I pray that I can be more like her. Please let your Holy Will be done in her life and continue to bless her with all that she needs. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
I love you Mommy!
